SARSILMAZ, one of Türkiye’s leading defence industry companies, and Spain-based EM&E Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to launch strategic cooperation in the field of defence technologies.
Under the cooperation framework, SARSILMAZ machine guns—developed through more than 150 years of manufacturing and engineering expertise—and the 25 mm and 30 mm cannon systems produced by group company TR Mekatronik are planned to be integrated with EM&E Group’s remotely controlled weapon systems, which have demonstrated their capabilities in operational environments across multiple regions.
The agreement is designed to bring together the complementary capabilities of both companies and will not be limited to systems integration. In subsequent phases, the cooperation is expected to expand into joint production and co-development activities.
In this context, the partnership creates strong technological and market complementarity between the two companies while also contributing to deeper defence industry relations between Türkiye and Spain. The international market presence and export experience of both companies are expected to create new opportunities on a global scale.
